Questions? God wrote a book.
Is God real?
What happens when we die?
Why is there so much suffering in the world?
The answers to these questions are found in the knowledge of God’s identity and character. He has written, protected, and preserved a book so that we could know the facts for ourselves: The Holy Bible. Once the basic facts are in, each person has to decide: Will I believe Him?
He Said…
Some of the things He has told us are:
Eternal life is real. So is eternal death.
Evil had a beginning and has a confined end.
Yes, this body that you live in will return to dust, but you, the person in the body, were created by God as an eternal being.
So, the question is this:
Life or death? Which will you choose?
Eternal life or eternal death?
The key to understanding is found in the Holy Bible; in knowing God’s character and plan, in what He has said and written about Himself, and us. He is by far the greatest treasure. His value, His worth is beyond measure and extremely good. He created each of us to know Him.
Misrepresented?
Do you have the correct view of the Creator God?
Does your belief about God match what He has said about Himself, or has someone misrepresented Him to you?
Understanding this great message, and realizing its value, is rooted in knowing the identity and character of the triune God of the Bible.
People mess up. Sometimes we have intentionally deceived other people. That’s why God revealed Himself to people through the Holy Bible. He has preserved this written record from many generations of people who have tried to eradicate it, hide it, or twist it.
You can find out for yourself what God wanted you to know about Him by reading the Holy Bible. (“The Holy Bible” means “the unique book.” For a highlighted overview of the core message, see – stilluntold.org/bible)
Life or Death?
Define the terms? That’s a good start. According to God, our Creator, life is found in Him alone. The value of life is found in knowing the author of it. According to Jesus, eternal life is knowing God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. The fruit of His Spirit, the evidence of His life in a person, is love, joy, peace, long-suffering (patience), gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness (esteeming others), and temperance or self-control.
Death is separation; separation from God and all that is good. The term encompasses the death of relationships, death of the physical body, and eternal death, or separation from God and all that is good eternally in the lake of fire. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (The Holy Bible – Galatians 5:19-21)
God is Good
God is perfectly good. He is so good that anyone or any deed that is not good is in stark contrast. He is so good that what is not good cannot dwell in His presence.
God, the God of the Bible, is the author of all that is good. He does not want people to self-destruct. He doesn’t want people to act contrary to the goodness of His character. He doesn’t want people to be separated from life. But He doesn’t want robots either. So, He gives people unmerited favor and commands that they do good even while they choose to go the other way. Even so, every evil deed must, and will be, justly punished without exception. God’s goodness does not negate His justice. His goodness demands justice.
It is His goodness that demands that evil be brought to an end.
God is the author of life. He gave each of us the opportunity to be and do good. Each of have failed. Each of us has broken God’s law. Each of us deserves to be judged. God’s goodness demands justice. God is the Judge. God’s goodness is bad news to people who lack goodness.
God is so good that He demands perfect goodness from us. Any person who is less than perfectly good would spoil heaven for everyone. So, not one of us meets God’s perfect standard. We are helplessly unable to meet the standard of perfection that God requires.
Good News
The greatest message is this: Through Jesus Christ, God has provided a way for us to be completely accepted by believing Him.
God is perfectly good and demands perfect goodness. You and I are not perfectly good and, by our own choices, cannot measure up to the standard required. Jesus Christ, God the Son, came to earth to live a perfect life. At a great personal cost, He gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty for our imperfection, our unrighteousness. He has purchased our penalty and provided for us the perfect righteousness that we need so that we can stand in God’s perfect presence without condemnation, clothed in His perfection.
Jesus Christ, who created us for good things, whose laws we have broken, who is the Judge of all the earth, has carried the judgment due to us. He fulfilled the goodness of perfect justice by taking the penalty due to us upon Himself. He satisfied all of God’s wrath against us. God’s justice has been satisfied by Jesus. More than that, we need perfect goodness to dwell with God in the place He has prepared for us. Through His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus is able clothe each one of us in His own perfect righteousness. Only God’s righteousness can meet God’s standard of perfect righteousness, and Jesus has offered it to us.
Choose Life!
Here’s the deal: God requires that we believe Him.
Nobody is born a believer. It’s been said, “God has no grandchildren.” Every person who believes God was a person who did not know or believe God. Every one of us had to hear God’s message from someone else and then decide what to do with it once we heard it.
You have to cash the check. No one can do it for you. Like money in your name in a bank, it is not useful if you don’t access it. If you don’t believe Jesus about your own unrighteousness, about who He is, what He has done, and His provision of righteousness for you, then what He has done for you has no effect.
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:18-21
Jesus paid a debt He did not owe to cover the debt we could not pay. Trusting in His good and perfect provision is the only hope for any of us unrighteous people.
The Holy Bible, 1 John 5:11-12 (KJV), “11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
John 3:36 (KJV), “36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 5:24 (KJV), “24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Historically, prophecy is God a message inspired by God which is delivered through an individual to His people for a specific purpose. The message was often authenticated by miraculous signs or predictions of the near and distant future.
Some people claimed to have a message from God who were not speaking the truth. To help ordinary people identify false prophets\God gave very specific criteria to identify fraudulent claims.
Throughout history people have examined the claims of prophets and distinguished true prophets from false prophets. This is why historical mainstream Christianity has only 66 books in The Holy Bible; 39 Old Testament Books and 27 New Testament books. Matthew 7:15, 1 John 4:1-6, Matthew 24:24, 2 Peter 2:1-22, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, Deuteronomy 13:1-5, 18:20-22, Jeremiah 23:16, 14:14, Ezekiel 22:28
Here are some prophecies fulfilled by Jesus Christ, proving His identity beyond all reasonable expectation. Some are as old as ~4000 BC. All of them were written at least 400 years before Jesus Christ came to earth.
