Good tidings of great joy which shall be for all people.
The promise given to Abraham near 2100 BC:
“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” Genesis 22:18 KJV
That promise has been fulfilled in many different ways on earth and ultimately, eternally, in the person of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 3:16)
Now, 2000 years later, one-third of the world’s people and one-third of the world’s languages still have no access to the Good News.
On the highest authority in heaven and on earth, Jesus commanded His disciples to go to every ethnic group in every part of the world, every creature, preaching the Good News, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching people to observe all that He commanded.
The communication of Christ’s fulfillment has been given to us, the spiritual seed of Abraham. (Galatians 3:29)
By faith in Christ, we have received a message to pass on to other people. (Romans 10:13-17)
We are ambassadors who have been given the word of reconciliation, the message of reconciliation, and the responsibility to represent the living God to the world, pleading with them. (2 Corinthians chapters 4 & 5.)
And we will be held accountable to Him. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15 & 15:34.)
How do you tell two to three billion people the Good News?
The answer is: one language group and one ethnic group at a time, equipping each to tell others until all have been told.
What is needed most is people who know the message who will do the telling.
Untold millions are still untold. Untold millions are outside the fold. Who will tell them of Jesus’ love and the heavenly mansions awaiting above?
“Untold Millions” song lyrics.
Untold millions are still untold
Untold millions are still outside the fold
Who will tell them of Jesus’ love
And the heavenly mansions awaiting above
Jesus died on Calvary to save each one from sin
Now he calls to you and to me
To go and bring them in
For many untold millions are still untold
Untold millions are outside the fold
Who will tell them of Jesus’ love
And the heavenly mansions awaiting above
All people who have placed their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ have this in common: Someone who heard the Good News cared enough to make sure we could hear it too.
